The way the location is lit illuminates the linear patterns of the bricks on the ground, although not picking the patterns of the bricks on the building behind through the dim lighting focusedprimarly on the ground.
Using a small depth of field and a wide vantage point displays the image at a distance from where the character was skating whilst creating the wiggly line of light.A high contrast as highlights and shadows are visible across the entire image.
The lighting of the image mainly coming from behind the camera and focusing on the bottom half of the image. Slightly highlighting the house further back in the image, the house appearing further back in the image through the small depth of field.
The line of light follows the lines of the road, using leading lines to direct eye contact down the street. Starting from a close vantage point to the camera and slightly moving further back away from the camera.
All the scenery in the image is in focus, although, the textures of the road, pavement and brick wall are plainly visible, the different tones in these parts of the surroundings standing out due to the shadows and highlights from the light being directed down, whereas the houses are mostly a block of various dark shades due to the lack of light focused on those areas.
The use of the golden rule is visible where the line of light is visible along the image, with high contrast between the shadows and highlights across the image, the highlights brighter toward the right of the image due to a light source off camera that part of the location, emphasising the various shades and tones of the bricks that part of the image.
